Outdoor switches for sACN and Dante

Anyone running Dante and heavy sACN multicast in outdoor cabinets year-round? I’m evaluating Netgear M4250 vs Cisco IE-4000 with IGMPv3, QoS, and per-VLAN storm control for about 300 universes alongside Axient Digital and Riedel Bolero PoE, and I’d love real-world configs that kept SMPTE TC clean and didn’t cook at 95°F/90% humidity on a parade route.

We keep the core as IGMP querier but set the cabinet switch as a higher‑IP standby so snooping doesn’t implode if the uplink hiccups; also trust DSCP and load Audinate’s QoS template so Dante/PTP outranks sACN bursts (https://support.audinate.com/hc/en-us/articles/207677926-Quality-of-Service-QoS-Requirements-for-Dante-Networks). Heat-wise, the M4250 behaved once we locked the fan profile to High and disabled EEE on Bolero/Axient ports; the IE‑4000 ran cooler but costs more. @hannah_Z99 did you also pin an mrouter port or just rely on querier + snooping?

Quick thought: putting the cabinet uplink on SFP fiber instead of copper kept our “SMPTE TC clean” with about 300 sACN universes and Bolero PoE, and it also dodged ground loops on the parade route. Works fine on M4250 or Cisco industrial, just budget for temp‑rated SFPs; if you’re stuck on copper, drop a fiber hop via media converters at the cabinet. Are you planning fiber trunks or is copper baked in?
